Chocolate Apple Pie
Ingredients:
Dough:
4 Tbs. cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 egg yolks keep the egg whites
3/4 cup softened butter
4 Tbs. Splenda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
enough water to mix into dough
Directions
1. For the chocolate apple pie dough mix cocoa powder and flour in a bowl and work in the butter until mixture resembles fine bread crumbs. Stir in splenda, egg yolk, vanilla, and water. Press 1/2 of the dough into a greased 8 in. cake pan and chill.
2. For the filling peel, core and thinly slice 3 apples. Place in a saucepan with the butter and cinnamon and cook over medium heat until apples are soft. Stir in the remaining apple slices and chocolate chips and mix until chocolate is melted. Prick the bottom curst and fill with the apple mixture. Arrange the rest of the dough on top and brush with the egg whites and sprinkle with Splenda.
3. Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 35 mins. or until pastry is crisp.
4. Top with cool whip and serve.

6 apples peeled and thinly sliced
2 Tbs. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar free chocolate chips
1/2 tsp Splenda
